Ethel Jackless

Ethel Jackless is a grandmother. Jim, her husband of 46 years, is a Shriner and Mason. They have three grown children, who have all moved away. Their youngest son is a recovered addict. When he was recovering, Ethel became very conscious of the various social problems and support systems in Victoria. Ethel lives in the same house on Chapman St. where she raised her children. They regularly attend St. Peter's Anglican church.

Ethel attends the No Tankers rallies. She always protests at the Esquimault naval dockyard gates whenever a nuclear US warship moors for shore-leave. Her primary employment is community involvement and activism. She volunteers time and money for several charitable organizations. Ethel is web-savvy, using Facebook to stay in touch with her grandchildren, signing her posts, "xoxo Grammy". She and Jim live on retirement income, but their savings allow for comfortable living. She has purple-pink hair streaks. She's tempted to join the Raging Grannies.
